EDUCATION
Dr Carmela Rosa Solimine graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Italian Studies. She obtained her medical degree from the American University of Integrative Sciences in the Caribbean and completed her clinical training in the USA.
Upon returning to Canada, Dr Solimine worked as a physician researcher at the Hospital for Sick Children in the department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where she has published in various international academic journals.
Dr Solimine successfully completed Family Medicine Residency program at the University of British Columbia.
Her professional interests include a full scope of family medicine, women’s health, sexual health, contraception, maternity and newborn care, pediatrics, child mental health and dermatology.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her young family. She enjoys travelling and visiting friends and family around the world.
